New Stingray 14.0 release: highlights
L2TP termination support
L2TP termination is a feature that allows Stingray SG to act as an L2TP server, accepting and terminating tunnels from clients (LACs). Its main purpose is to centralize and simplify remote access management: instead of tunnels traversing the entire network to specialized servers, they are terminated directly on the gateway.
New mode for BNG — DHCP Dual Proxy
Dual DHCP is a new BNG operating mode in Stingray SG 14.0 designed to simplify subscriber authorization and session management. Its key benefit is that for dual-stack subscribers (using IPv4 and IPv6 simultaneously), a single shared session is created, for which only one authorization request is sent to the RADIUS server and a single accounting record is maintained. This increases efficiency and reduces load compared to the previous mode, where a separate request was required for each protocol.
Command-line interface for managing Stingray SG modules
Users of Stingray products now have access to VASE-CLI — a universal command-line shell for managing VAS Experts products as well as related third-party solutions, including BIRD and BIRD NetNS, Kea, RADIUS Proxy, and others.
Stingray Performance Growth — up to 360 Gbps
The SSG-360 platform enables processing of up to 360 Gbps of total traffic, which corresponds to a subscriber base of 300,000 – 400,000 users that can be served by the system.
In solution sizing, parameters such as the number of sessions and the number of new sessions per second are also taken into account, as they determine how quickly new sessions need to be handled and how heavily the engine will be loaded in a given configuration.
New Products and Services
Stingray PGW
A new product for mobile operator networks, Stingray PGW essentially acts as a gateway, authorizing subscribers and terminating GTP traffic from LTE/4G base stations.
The VAS Experts solution architecture for mobile networks is based on the CUPS (Control and User Plane Separation) model, which separates traffic handling and integration with external systems, allowing the Stingray platform to process traffic at high speeds. In a single solution, on a unified Data Plane, it is possible to implement the PGW function with PCEF for tariff management, policy enforcement, and QoS assurance. This solution is ready for deployment in a virtual infrastructure.
Stingray AntiDDoS
Stingray AntiDDoS is a new solution for cyberattack protection, focused on the operator’s infrastructure: the system detects anomalies in real time, can operate at speeds of hundreds of Gbps, automates Flowspec rule publication, and also performs scrubbing functions, cleaning traffic if the operator’s channel has sufficient throughput. For operators, this reduces reaction time and provides clients with a “clean” traffic service without manual handling of each incident.
Participation in Industry Events
In 2025, VAS Experts participated in several international technology events, presenting our Stingray solutions to a professional audience.
📍 MobileFest 2025 — our team, as part of ITGLOBAL.COM, presented the Stingray Service Gateway platform and specialized solutions for mobile networks, including PCEF, PGW, LBS, and ePDG. We had great discussions with industry peers and explored promising partnerships across the region.
📍 GITEX GLOBAL 2025 – we showcased our operator solutions and integrated telecom products, highlighting modern approaches to traffic control, QoS enforcement, and digital network transformation.

Plans for 2026
- Development of BNG and CG-NAT products in terms of redundancy, scalability, and IPv6 support
- Expansion of DPI signatures, development of custom signatures, and support for different prefix lengths
- Advancement of solutions for mobile and virtual mobile operators – PCEF/PGW/EPDG focusing on load balancing, services, and fault tolerance
